Community Listening Session

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is developing a five-year strategic plan to strengthen public safety services and internal operations. This plan will serve as a roadmap to guide how IMPD shows up for and with the community in the years ahead.
Taylor Advising, a trusted local consulting firm, is partnering with IMPD to ensure that this process is informed by community voice and lived experience. We are leading a citywide engagement effort to collect data and gather insights through the process of conducting surveys, listening sessions/community conversations and interviews with officers, professional staff and the community.
As part of IMPD’s ongoing strategic efforts, we want to hear from YOU! You are invited to participate in a listening session, where you will have the opportunity to share valuable perspectives and help inform IMPD’s strategic plan. To encourage candid and open dialogue, these sessions will be hosted and facilitated by the Taylor Advising team without IMPD representatives present. Together, we can shape the future of IMPD in a way that reflects our city’s needs and values.
This listening session will take place on Monday, June 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., at the International District Community Center. Space is limited, so please RSVP so we can plan on your participation.
*No police officers will be present. These conversations are for the community, by the community.

El Departamento de Policía Metropolitana de Indianápolis (IMPD) está desarrollando un plan estratégico quinquenal para fortalecer los servicios de seguridad pública y las operaciones internas. Este plan servirá como guía para guiar la actuación del IMPD ante y con la comunidad en los próximos años.
Taylor Advising, una consultora local de confianza, colabora con el IMPD para garantizar que este proceso se base en la opinión y la experiencia de la comunidad. Lideramos una iniciativa de participación ciudadana para recopilar datos y obtener información mediante encuestas, sesiones de escucha/conversaciones comunitarias y entrevistas con agentes, personal profesional y la comunidad.
Como parte de los esfuerzos estratégicos continuos del IMPD, ¡queremos saber de usted! Le invitamos a participar en una sesión de escucha, donde tendrá la oportunidad de compartir valiosas perspectivas y contribuir a la elaboración del plan estratégico del IMPD. Para fomentar un diálogo franco y abierto, estas sesiones serán organizadas y facilitadas por el equipo de Taylor Advising sin la presencia de representantes del IMPD. Juntos, podemos forjar el futuro del IMPD de una manera que refleje las necesidades y los valores de nuestra ciudad.
Esta sesión de escucha se llevará a cabo el lunes 16 de junio, de 18:00 a 19:30 h, en el Centro Comunitario del Distrito Internacional. El cupo es limitado, así que por favor confirme su asistencia para que podamos planificar su participación.
