DESCRIPTION:The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is developing a five-year strategic plan to strengthen public safety services and internal operations. This plan will serve as a roadmap to guide how IMPD shows up for and with the community in the years ahead. \nTaylor Advising\, a trusted local consulting firm\, is partnering with IMPD to ensure that this process is informed by community voice and lived experience. We are leading a citywide engagement effort to collect data and gather insights through the process of conducting surveys\, listening sessions/community conversations and interviews with officers\, professional staff and the community. \nAs part of IMPD’s ongoing strategic efforts\, we want to hear from YOU! You are invited to participate in a listening session\, where you will have the opportunity to share valuable perspectives and help inform IMPD’s strategic plan. To encourage candid and open dialogue\, these sessions will be hosted and facilitated by the Taylor Advising team without IMPD representatives present. Together\, we can shape the future of IMPD in a way that reflects our city’s needs and values. \nThis listening session will take place on Monday\, June 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.\, at the International District Community Center. Space is limited\, so please RSVP so we can plan on your participation. \n*No police officers will be present.
